The Manor House at Bruntingthorpe

Sympathetically extending and breathing new life into this fabulous country home

Set in five acres and overlooking open countryside, the Old Manor House was previously run as a B&B but was in need of some major restoration work and long overdue TLC.

The brief was to turn the original eight bedrooms into four luxury en-suite rooms, each with their own sitting and dressing area. The ground floor was also restored and extended to form a new large kitchen with hand-built units and granite worktops, a separate utility area, oak glazed living room, dining hall, steam room, gymnasium, downstairs cloakroom, and private garage with room for four vehicles.

To give the property its own access, we put in a new driveway and landscaped the garden areas, which included a number of hand-built arched walls, as well as a variety of plants. The property is fitted with underfloor heating throughout and features a word burner and several of the original open fireplaces.
